Top shelf rum seems to be less expensive than top shelf Scotch. I'm really liking rum lately. Maybe because it's summer and rum just seems to fit better.

Cool.

I'm drinking it tonight. Doubt I'll have your kind of luck, though.

Picked up some Chivas Mizunara on Tuesday in Tokyo, only available in Japan for a limited run. Pretty damned nice stuff. Wish I bought more.

Went cheap and lowbrow tonight. Schmitt Söhne Riesling. I was picking up other stuff at the supermarket and saw this in the cooler. Worked well on a very warm night here.

Have not been a big beer drinker for years now but was in Asheville the past couple of weeks and loved this stuff. Not available here in Louisiana so brought a case home... An excellent stout aged in bourbon barrels!

Don't disagree but the bourbon barrel aging adds a really nice touch. But you can tell I have not been a beer drinker for years now!

Thanks...it's not all perfect though. While the sun going down is great....and it's a mere excellent 75 degrees out....my cigar is splitting the outer skin. Must be a tad dry in the humidifier.

I may need to open a go fund me account for my first world problems here.

Really? That's pretty awesome! It was the last bottle on the shelf, and I had not bought another since then.

My buddy and I actually drank the entire thing that night, then went out for Korean BBQ afterward. I don't think I'd ever been that drunk in a long time. But, absolutely no hangover the next day.

Guess that's what happens when you drink the quality stuff.
