Tyres/Wheels question

My X1 shoes are 225/50/17.

Is there any way to go to a higher profile? For instance 235/55/17 or this is not applicable?

I just want to make the car have more off road abilities.

You'd probably have to change your rims as well then.

No, you can still get 17", get to your nearest good tyre franchise.

Sorry manicm, I dont get this (I am not good on the rims combination etc).

You say to change my 17'' rims and get 17'' rims again?

If you care about how accurate your speedometer reads, then you should follow this:

Yes, sometimes a rim is made for a specific profile. But check with your local wheel centre, you may be able to put a higher profile 17" tyre on your current rims.
