Need new Rims and Tires

As far as comfort what is everyone liking for tires? I have a cracked rim so I need to replace it, was going to do all 4 anyways so I'm going to black them out and grab some NON RFT, because wow those hurt on sh!tty roads.

My 335 has DWS those work and feel great.

I run Goodyear Assurance Tripletread at the moment and I'm generally happy with them (but I am trying to run them down so I have a good excuse to upgrade :-D ). I really liked the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 on my previous car - fantastic handling.

Edit: as an aside, I really like the 17" alloys on my X1 - means I can go with a stiffer performance tire and not have to worry about ride quality. I had what I would call borderline low profile tires on my last ride and hated them.

DWS, DW, or Pilot Super Sports. The PSS ride so well on my friend's 135is, I'd have them if the price wasn't so high.

Well Considering its June, not winter, and original post said replacing stock tires, so all seasons.

I'm going to go with DWS 06 and see how that goes. I really like these tires on the 335 currently and I dont need anything to special on my daily rider its not a track car.

I usually replace my winter tires in the summer when they are cheap.

I would also look at the michelin primacy mx4x, little bit more cost but I loved those tires, got a lot more usable tread out of them vs the dsw's

I had, and loved these tires, though they're not considered a performance tire; I wish I'd got these instead of the Conti DWs. Probably should have got the MichSS, but geez, the $$$.

I had looked at those, but not performance and I occasionally do things so I took a step in the other direction.

For the DSw 06 what PSI is everyone running?

BTW they feel WAY better than the pirelli run-flats I had on there. The car is actually comfortable and doesnt feel like a forklift on the road.

Yes for now, the 18" 225F/255R

Its so smooth and hitting a bump doesn't cause my luggage liner to flap anymore.

I'm looking at possibly getting 17" rims and blizzaks next.

My dealer recommended 40 psi in the dws 06. I have about 14,000 miles on mine. Love them.

40 "feels" right to me - not harsh or too firm.
