Selected Parking Mode while not Fully Stopped: Worth Worrying?
Hi guys,
Just wanted to get your advice on whether there's something to worry about or it can be tolerated. While driving on a parking lot I failed to stop properly in front of the stop bar and shifted the gear stick to P before the car was fully stopped. There was a soft clang. It's not that the gear is malfunctioning now but I am bit anal about that... Probably some of you out there had faced this problem formerly? Should I bother checking the gearbox or could this be tolerated? Thanks. |

I think that if there was the risk of any significant damage, there would be a lock out system.
Not the sort of thing you'd want to make a habit of, but doubt you have done any damage at all. Rest easy, and enjoy your great car |
