Congrats my friend !

Today the Ferrari pace looked unreal !
Charlie overtook MAX today like he was standing still !

The million dollar question is : From what we witnessed : For how long ?

Sainz ran only 2 races with this Ferrari PU and finished in flames..

They were quick and the points score sheet as follows.
Max 208 and Chas 170, constructors with Ferrari gaining just a handful without Sainz and no score Checo.

Yes . Yesterday after the sprint race MAX was leading with 44 WDC points .
Today after the race with 38 WDC points .
So MAX lost actually 6 WDC driver points at Austria with his sprint race victory included.

MAX said : The RB18 is still too heavy and we have to cut some weight ASAP.
The Ferrari's look lighter , and the Ferrari superfast PU ruled today .

But currently the Ferrari PU remains very unreliable ...

Note : During Charlie's overtakes I noticed that Charlie could brake so much later than MAX did .
IMHO. The Ferrari brakes are biting stronger .Or it's because the Ferrari is lighter ..

It was scary to see how the marshal reacted in a clueless way. Instead of doing his job by using his fire extinguisher straightaway, he hesitated and started to discuss with Sainz (likely about the car rolling back). Getting out safe and sound of that car on fire as soon as possible, mattered. Every fraction of a second matters in such a dangerous situation. That thing could have exploded.

I would think the lighter car contributes to the later braking, Horner is not happy with the result understandably on RB's track but lets remember it's Ferrari under pressure lagging behind with their win or lose push.
The RB's still have no penalty new PU's in store and more weight removal should keep the reds in check even if they score wins.

Watching race now. I'm shocked the Ferrari's can preserve medium tires much more effectively than the Red Bulls. And I can't say Max is driving that much more aggressively than Chuck, and Max is known to preserve tires well.

LEC 's potentiometer failed & he was having to return the throttle pedal by placing his foot under it & pulling it up

Today Red Bull doesn't understands the huge tire wear from the RB18 .

Well deserved win for Charles
His first not from pole

Gutted for Carlos and Ferrari, lost out on a big chance to gain on the WDC with Checo retiring early. Ferrari has got to get their reliability under control coming out of the break to have any chance at either title, little as they might seem now

Also thrilled for Haas, fantastic to see both in the points. Especially amazing to see Mick in P6 after his run of horrible races to start the season.

Very surprising to see how fast the tires were degrading here, I certainly thought it would be the usual Mediums-hards one stopper

What the hell was going on with all the track limits and everyone getting time penalties? It was never this bad the last few years. I think the stewards was much more strict this year

Russell and Gasly should have gotten much more than a 5 seconds penalty for those incidents. If you give them a penalty then you are determining that that driver is mostly or all at fault and a 5 second penalty is too lenient for ruining the other driver’s race. At minimum they should get a stop and go to even out the time lost for the other driver

Would've certainly been a 1-2 finish for Ferrari had typical Ferrari reliability woes not struck yet again.

If this continues, they'll be caught by Mercedes in the constructor's standings.
