No we have designed these lights so that they will NOT dim when the xenon's are turned on. They are not too bright however so i would not expect that you would run into any problems with them

The instructions given by LUX weren't very helpful, so I was able to find this Chinese DIY on how to install these bulbs. It has tons of pictures, and should be pretty self explanatory even if you don't understand the text (just use google translate ifs really necessary).

Anyways, here it is, hope it helps others who bought these.

Hmmm... I think the Lux manuals are clear enough.

I ordered Lux sets for my Pre LCI E90 and X1. Install them with no problem at all.

And English is not my first language

Is there any way to get LED angel eyes for non-Xenon X1? The pictures look great. But I didn't get the Xenon headlights here since it wasn't available as a stand-a-lone add-on. It doesn't have to be Lux, but is there any other plug-n-play LED angel eyes units out there?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I didn't see that much of a jump of improvement or difference over the EOM headlights, in fact I felt OEM had the cleaner edge. What am I missing here?

All the LUX instruction basically says is open the headlights, take out the original bulbs and plug the LUX in. Their diagram surely doesn't do anything to help either. *shrugs*

its very hard to get pictures inside the headlight since there is very limited room inside there. We have tried to do our best to show how to install these correctly

I understand. Just sayin' the DIY I've linked to is very helpful and shows pretty much everything you need to see in order to install these.

Just me personally, I'm not exactly comfortable with a guide that simply says open headlight and change the DRL bulb. I know that, but certainly helps a lot more with pictures of what exactly I need to do.

I bought a set of the LUX H8 V3 Angel Eye bulbs (6500K) for my 2012 BMW X1, and they are excellent quality and produce a nice bright output. Installation was relatively easy too.

They are also, however, a very poor colour match to the xenon headlights, which are a noticeably warmer white than the rings. Therefore, I would not recommend the LUX H8 V3 Angel Eyes if your are interested in achieving the perfect colour match to your headlights, as I am.

My guess is that most BMW models having this generation of xenon headlight units will experience the same issue. Maybe you will have better luck with the new 5000K bulbs.

Cheers!

If i am to retrofit non-xenon reflectors to a HID system using morimoto proectors and shrouds.. can i use these rings?

Is the headlight housing of an X1 easy to open and reseal so no moisture gets in ?

We have a 2012 X1 with the lights package (xenon). The halos are yellow. What's the best matching option?
