What coding can be done to the X1

Here is what I'd to be able to do:

Roll up windows with remote/lock feature (currently only open windows w/ remote unlock)
Fold in mirrors with remote lock activation
Fold out mirrors with remote unlock activation
Keep Eco mode to last setting (on)
When turning on Eco mode not have the ASS turn on

Not to be negative but talking the the dealer is useless. Is there a shop in New Jersey that can do any of these and how much might they charge?

Thanks for any info

Garage List
There was a thread that stated everything that could be done to the X1 coding wise. I don't think the window one was one of them for security reasons. Everything else is doable iirc

Spoke with the "coder" and he has a pretty extensive list of what he can do. I believe windows up with the key fob is possible.

If you have anyone other than BMW do coding can BMW use it as an excuse to void your warranty ?

yes he was very nice and coded my wife's X1, officially in exchange for no money, but I did provide some Canadian Beer of gratitude.

Note BMW later did a software update and the folding mirors disappeared, but the DVD in motion did not

we had windos up, got rid of marker lights, dvd in motion, folding mirrors, no more security message on the navigation..and some more stuff...

Coder told me they can't void the warranty because all he is doing is bringing out the options that are on every BMW.

The list of recodes that can be done to customize the X1 are nearly endless. I had a very knowledgeable, local IT fellow do 5 things for me. I had the gongs silenced for driver and passenger belts and for key in ignition, had a digital MPH added to the display screen, increased the passing lane blinker from 3 to 5 blinks and had several features added to the key fob.

All in all it took about 20 minutes. I had also wanted to disable the TPMS but that required changing the Vehicle Order if you know what that is. It is best not to change the VO or you run into problems down the line with Dealer service.

I would be curious to see what others have done to customize the operation of their electronics, as the possibilities are many. I do not know if any or all of these things will disappear if the dealer has to meddle with the ECU. I would pay the $50 all over again just to have my car quiet, that is so nice.
