My USB works (non-idrive) :happyanim:

I got issue with USB showing "Insert" and tried to search on Google and many forums. I tried to format the sticks in FAT and FAT32 but still no luck.

Today, I found 5 Usb sticks with different size (256M, 2G 32G 4G 8G) and version 2.0 3.0.

Finally the Kingston DataTralver 2G works perfect. I also put my Android phone(samsung galaxy alpha 16G) in and it works(take 2-3 second longer to load music). All music load in screen of radio (I don't have idrive+ navigator, my car is e84 xdrive20d 2010 and radio system is professional). The button on steering wheel works Perfect!!!!

I'm glad that worked for you. I found a program called Double Twist, that was a free download, and I took my non- working 16G Sandisks and loaded the new program. Now these memory sticks work with my '13 pro model, non-idrive.

It's just a free app, and you drag and drop it into your opened flash drive. You have to make sure your settings on your head unit have check marks on both album and song to get true random.

YEAH... I made it work even with USB 3.0 Now I plug the 32G USB 3.0 and it works. The main trick is if you change usb then need to turn off/on the radio in order to clear the buffer/cache of radio.

The flash drives I use are already FAT32 format, and random wouldn't work on mine until I added the DT program.
