Color choice?

Already made an order of an X1 xDrive28i.
Now the color choice is: Mineral White + Black leatherette.
But I talked with my friend today. He though MW was a little girlish.
In fact I haven't seen a MW X1 in person. I saw a AW before in the dealer's showroom. And I think the AW is pretty fine for a male driver. So I image that MW shouldn't be bad either.
So am I wrong? Any better choice? I can change the color since the car hasn't be in production yet.
Thanks!

I debated between alpine and mineral and in the end went with alpine and coral red. Mineral is pearlescent so maybe the 'girlish' comment.

Mineral hides dirt a little better with a gold sheen to it. I think Lexus must use the same color because I have seen it on whatever the expensive Lexus is. My wife's is Mineral but Alpine is not available with M Sport just Mineral. I'm actually suprised BMW uses both whites for X1 since they are so close in color.

You're talking about BMW, who has at least seven different blacks

Passed by the dealer 2 days ago. And my car turned into status '150' that morning.
So the good news is, I maybe get my early! The bad (maybe good) news is, I can't change anything now.
But I still checked both white on X1 today. And I felt that, if there is an white X1 10 meters from me, I can't tell which white it is...
Both are beautiful.
MW is just unique. It's a little warm and pearl-like indoor, but shining and a little silver under the sun. And it's similar but a little lighter than Lexus's white.
Even thought the AW is a kind of classic, there is no difference between AW and Oxford white on a Ford.
I'm a kind of happy that I choose MW (even though I think it might not worth $550).

At least four: Valencia, Sakhir Metallic, Colorado and Inka.
Granted, the latter two are not used on current models, and you have to pay BMW for a custom paint job for anything but the first, but for a few thousand, they'll do whatever BMW color you like.

Yes, it's a beautiful combination. I went with Midnight Blue Metallic and the Sand Beige Nevada Leather. Drove out to the dealers lot this am to check out Aluminum trim vs Fineline. Decided on the wood finally. Looking forward to this car. I was somewhat enamored of Terra with Black or White but Terra finally looked pretty orangey to me. If it had been Saddle or Chestnut that would have been different.

As a new BMW buyer, I appreciate hearing everyone's ideas and experiences!

New Car Buying 101: You have to be absolutely sure of the model, options, and the color before placing a new car order. New cars are too expensive to make the wrong color choice. Don't choose a color using a color swath in a glossy sales brochure. Always see the car in person in all the colors that you're interested in before ordering it.

Changing an order once it's been sent to the factory? I don't know. This is where things can get screwed up. Murphy's Law to the max. Sort of like ordering a pizza and calling them back to change ingredients. They'll only get confused and most likely the revised order will not be what you wanted. I'm thinking it might be better to delete the order and place a new order than to try to change an existing order.

I noticed that the X1 isn't offered any shade of red. Yet the X3 and X6 offer it but not the X1 and X5.

Here Alpine white isn't a metallic paint so it's free, Mineral however is a metallic paint so you have to pay for it.

It depends on both the market and production year. There are red X1s out there, for sure, but none in the US, and I think none in the 2014 model (unless you place a custom colour order and pay an arm and a leg extra for it).

True, the pre-facelift model was available in vermilion rot.
