What about X1 18d sdrive?

Hi to everybody,
I'd like to know your opinions about the subject title. I think 140 hp could be enough and I don't need 4X4 car.

Plus the sdrive should be more fun to drive than the xdrive and the money you save on the xdrive could be put into extras since the standrt interior is a bit poor.

Hope it helps

just what I hoped to read.

Go to the 20d. I had the same dilema when i bougth mine.

The difference in price is not significant for the extra power.

Hi Teo,

Can you please share your experience with 18d sDrive? YOu got it by now?

I just ordered my! Same model! I was also in between 18d and 20d but money decided I should go with 18d. At least I got a decent eq I wanted.

Hi,

I also got myself an 18d sDrive. As I'm not that big of an bhp junky, I invested the "saved" money on some nice extras in the car.

Befor the X1 I owned a Mercedes A-Class - 150. The BMW has much much more power.

bye

Hi Teo74,

The SDrive 1.8d was the first X1 I test drove. Did a few hundred miles in it (had it for the weekend) and in my opinion the performance is sufficient for most circumstances. I was really (and I mean really ) impressed with the power from the 2.0 litre engine. It has plenty of low down grunt and the torque is really good. Its only at the top end thats it start wheezing a bit but by that time you are over the speed limit anyway. Keep it in the right gear and you will have no problems.

I have gone for a 2.0d but only because I need the 4x4 bit as well.

I would have preferred the sdrive over the x to save a few bucks, but you couldn't get the 23 with s. RWD with all the traction control smarts will be fantastic.
