X1s on US dealer lots?

Has anybody seen any X1s sitting on dealer lots yet? I've not seen a single one, but being that I'm in Alaska we will probably be the last to see them.

All I know is I got my dealers first X1 production slot. My X1 is built and at the port in Germany waiting to get shipped.

I called the 1800 # and was told my x1 was finished and at the doc awaiting for shipping. Im estimating arrival around Aug 15-18,,,

Mine's there waiting at the port as well. Read from a poster that BMW won't release these until September 15th. I sincerely hope not. Don't want to have to wait 2 weeks after arrival to claim my car.

I remember when the X3 came out back in 2004 and I got mine before the dealer had any to show anybody. I was coming out of an X5 at that time and wanted something smaller. I think I'll have mine in about 3 weeks so Aug 15-18 sounds about right. I think it's 12 days by ship to Charleston from Germany.

Fingers crossed. Mine is awaiting at the same port still as of this writing, so I'm hoping it will on the same boat as well.

My X1 is also at the port of exit awaiting shipping. I checked on the internet for ships on the Wallenius & Wilhelmsen shipping line leaving Bremerhaven over the next month, and heading to Port Heuenme California (West Coast US Port of entry). There are 4 ships leaving on 7/30, 8/4, 8/10 and 8/25 and arriving at PH on 8/23, 8/31, 9/5, and 9/19 respectively. I hope my car is on the 7/30 ship. I sent an email to my CA asking her to provide me with the shipping details (which they should have) or the VIN, and with that I can figure out what ship it's on.

Local dealers say they will hit the lots early Sept

I went in to order my X1 and the salesman said to wait another week and they will have 2 demos to test drive. He was pretty sure that none of the dealers in the NE US have gotten any X1s yet.

I ordered my X1 on July 9, production completed 7/19, and was put on cargo ship on 7-29 (11-day trip to Baltimore). I confirmed with my dealer (after hearing rumbles about them being held until official release date in Sept.) that they will indeed hold in the US port, but only until 8/17. On, or about that date, mine will be put on the truck out of Baltimore first because it is a customer 'sold order', and will go before dealer orders. He said I would have it before the end of August. I saw one in person while in St. Martin in May and again in Toronto in June. Caught my eye and very attractive vehicle, IMO.
X1 xDrive, Sport Line, Cold Weather pkg, Ultimate pkg, and Sirus. Midnight Blue/Coral Red. Looking forward to it's arrival.

A couple are at port; but aren't released yet. Should be in dealer lots mid-late August.

I can't confirm this but "Cars.com" is showing two X1s at a dealership 30 miles from me. It is BMW of Bloomfield. I was at Open Road BMW earlier today and they said they'd have two X1s early this week - either Monday or Tuesday.

At BMW of Atlantic City, we just got two in today. White and black.

It looks like more and more are showing up... last week a "Cars.com" search showed only 2 in my area and now there are 8.

Two of those are the ones referenced above at the Atlantic City location.

Of the 8 X1s.. it looks like most dealerships are receiving one 28i and one 35i.

Still nothing at my "local" dealership....

Same Cars.com search shows 18 cars now... 10 more than yesterday!

The floodgates are opening...

Of course, my local dealer has nothing still... my SA e-mailed me and said "a few days." A lame response if I ever heard one. I am sure they know where their X1s are, no?

ooo he knows, they have a list with everything that is in bound, at port or en route and i think it has a ETA on when the day it should come in. Also if the car has Navi the service dept will have to pull the navi program code which in some cases give them a idea on the ETA. My guess that dealer guy is holding out, maybe he has a possible buyer and does not want to everyone coming in to drive it and touch it.

I checked cars.com and couldn't find any within 250 miles of Columbia, SC. That includes one big dealers in Charlotte and Atlanta.
