Anyone ordered a 2013 X1 in Canada yet?

I'm curious about the difference in pricing between 2012 and 2013. BMW.ca still has no pricing info but lease/finance rates are there now.

yeah, bmw's configurator still shows the 2012 model, but a few other sites seems to have some more info and build options. Check out autonet.ca and carsaver.ca.
Looks like both the x28i and x35i are available in Canada, and msrp for 28i has dropped to $36,900 for 2013.
But the options config is way different from 2012. The executive package replaces the convenience package, and some options are tied to others.
No sign of the Harman/Kardon stereo, but I would assume it will be there when the official pricing comes out.
If these sites hold true to what the real config will be, I need to start from scratch on my order again.

But I do like the lower base price!

Thanks for that stonelx. This is great news though for those on the fence.

No wonder BMWCA has not released the pricing. 2012 owners who purchased their X1 might go ballistic with the deemed "drop in value" of their X1s. Early buyers got dinged on 3 areas (now 4):
- higher intro lease rate (4.9%)
- pre-LCI body style
- heavier steering (vs. E90), no servo option for 2012s
- lower MSRP

Would you mind sharing more details on your build if you have them? I'm really curious as to what the stereo options are for the x28i? According to the 3rd party x1 builder websites, the HK stereo is not available on the 28i, but is an option on the 35i.
Also, what model of tire will you get? (or maybe you won't know until its finally delivered).

Cheers!

It looks like the base price 2013 X1 2.8 has been dropped from $38500 to $36900.
It's a BS , they've just reduced the value of 2012 ones by as much as $ 2700.

I'll give BMW Canada a call tomorrow and ask for rebate(some sort ) and see what happens .

I think I would regret it but i didn't order x line or sport line with my car.
When I look at x line when i was ordering it didn't seem it was that important to add.. it only adds some exterior appearance to the car -.-''

I agree with you, I also would pass on the Xline and sport line. Mostly because I prefer the stock 17" rims.
I do love the look of the MSport body that the US cars get. The Msport body replaces the plastic looking trim on the bottom of the car all around. But if I wonder if that plastic trim is to help protect with our snowy, dirty, saltly winters?

You can always retro fit the M Sport body panels should you want a change of look at some point in the future. The M Sport aero kit is also plastic and painted off the car so fitting is straight forward. For photographs of what's involved see my 'Not for the Squeamish' post.

I just saw this at CarCostCanada. No wonder BMWCA wants to get rid of the 2012s first... $39,900 for a 35i, with xDrive and 3.0 liter 300HP engine

Before the F30, a base model E90 with 35i and xDrive fetched for 50 large!

Based on CCC base MSRPs, the X1 35i is closest to parity with only $1,500 pricing gap. That's more like it!

I did talk to BMW Canada today and don't give a sh@t about 2013 vs 2012 X1 price difference . But I've asked about $2000 voucher towards the next purchase their response was we'll think about it .

2012 X1 Canadian owners please call to BMW Canada and complain ,say something like : " The group law suite is coming " . The more complains they get the bigger chance to get something out of this situation .

Cheers!

The difference isn't really that bad.

The pricing/options config is strange.

A 2013 28i with the following options:
  • Premium Package
  • Xline
  • Lights Package
  • Power Seats
  • Parking control
works out to about $44,395

A 2012 with the following options:
  • Premium Package <--includes Xline
  • Lights Package
  • Park Control
  • Power seats
works out to $44,485

When you do a complete stop the engine will turn off to save gas. and when you release the brakes it will auto turn back on . sorta annoying but you can turn it off by pressing the A button in the center console.

Good to know!
Yeah, at -30 C I think keeping it running would be most desirable!
