Retrofit satnav in dash

Hi all.

My X1 sadly has no satnav or music streaming over bluetooth built in. I really want to get something which will do both satnav and bluetooth audio streaming that I can fit into the little cubby hole at the top centre of the dash. I have seen the Dynavin thing but from the sounds of one guys review, it's not great. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=648928

I just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions or if it's possible to retrofit with buying the OEM parts from BMW.

The OEM parts would cost far more than you'd be willing to pay. Sirius satellite receivers are relatively cheap and I believe they have built in bluetooth streaming too

Thank you for the reply. Sirius is an American thing isn't it? Not sure we have that in the UK.

I want to have one of the screens in the dash at the top though, rather than some tomtom type thing attached to my screen.

Sirius is world-wide as far as I know. As for a screen, You could shoe-horn a tablet in there. Some have done it.

All BMWs are prewired for satellite radio. The cost to activate is about $350 or $400. Other retrofits probably not worth the money.
