Wheels: 18's, vs 19's

Was considering replacing the weird runflats on my X1 with 18's or 19's. My question is this:

Is their any reason to get 19's over 18's aside from looks ? Also I prefer square setup, any reason to change that ?

I can think of no reason to get 19" wheels besides looks.
More expensive tires, less ride quality depending upon ratio, usually more weight (not many lightweight 19's), makes the brakes look wimpy.

I also prefer square, but I went staggered because looks and the wheel I wanted was not a square setup.

ya no other reason than looks. I like the look of a bigger staggered setup but for my car, it's for nothing but looks.

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. I was kind of thinking the same thing, mainly that I didn't want to pay more for tires all of the time. I recall from my Z4 days that generally it seemed BMW had a little understeer where the square setup was better, I could be making that up. lol Thanks again.

Yeah I could but I assumed the current ones are 17's so I guess I wanted to be different if I were to "upgrade".

Now that I have switched back to the 18s Sport Lines, i must admit that I kinda miss the comfort of the 17" winters.

It's hip to be square.

Run 17s in the winter and 18s in the summer. I would not run 19s as the roads around here are full of pot holes and rough as a cob.

Stuck with the 17s myself. If you're going to stick with run-flats, I think the 50 sidewall is a good compromise between handling and comfort.
