Looks promising so far. I like the stance and proportions. Side profile also looks very sleek and I like the fact that it doesn't have the drooping character line. Although I'm a bit worried it looks similar to the C & S as it has similar features. I hope the taillights wrap around the rear instead of the vertical ones we find on the S class.

The render seems to be quite accurate.

Not if it had to look like the pre LCI E.

This is the trend now and I don't think it's going away anytime soon. Fortunately for Mercedes, their current designs work. S-Class to C-Class. I would be surprised if the E-Class wasn't a hit too but looking at mockups (not hard to see what the final product will be), Mercedes has nothing to worry about. Mercedes is killing it this generation.

I think the predictions of the new E class look show a very handsome car. I also like the new C class. But to me the S class looks ungainly from the side view with the front and back portions disconnected from the middle of the car. And the flame surfacing is off.

Have you seen bmw cars lately? It is pretty generic. The 3 series, 5 series, and 7 series all look alike from behind. It just the proportion is a bit different.

I guess many are too young on here. They also forgot about E38, E39 and E46.
