I've seen the Nav units on eBay. I imagine installation would require a professional - an actual BMW tech to make it all work. Also I think there's a joystick you need to buy and install, too. We have a 2015 X1 as well and I'd love to add the Nav, but I think it would be so expensive as to make it not worth doing, at least for us.

Took me 2 hours to toss in an Android-based touchscreen device. Aux audio works without a dedicated aux cable too! No scanner tool or coding required. Everything works out of the box but keep in mind that it is truly an independent unit as it is a glorified Android tablet in a mount that is physically compatible with the slot in the dash.
