X1 CPO warranty gripe
I have a 2014 CPO X1 xdrive35i, obviously by my signature. My (windshield only) washers no longer pump fluid, so I called and asked about getting it fixed under warranty.
The response: Bring it in for a $100 diagnosis charge, and if it is found to be a warranty claim then a $50 deductible. Sorry? I need to pay for 2 different things just to be considered for my CPO for less than $50 in parts. Not "If it's warranty, we won't charge you the deductible or will refund your diagnosis fee." So here I am and I bought the 3 pumps (yes... 3... pumps... on our cars!) to replace them all soon myself. I know that CPO is good for major parts, but this is the first time I've had a CPO warranty that I'd have to pay *anything* to get it fixed under said warranty. I didn't even know CPO has a $50 deductible with BMW. For the.... $5000? I paid over normal to get the car FROM BMW as CPO, I wouldn't have expected that. Edit: I had to replace the pump on my 09 328i as soon as I got it, because it was raining and I didn't know it didn't work. Also under $25. Pumps fail, and apparently BMWs eat windshield washer fluid like..... Well, that's not suitable for the forum. But A LOT, unless my reservoir is cracked and venting water

I've been running on my e90 without washer fluid for over a year. My x1 also was cpo when I got it and the the pump for the washer fluid is shot on that one too. I blame myself for not getting it repaired under warranty. Finally took the 1st step in repairing by purchasing new pumps from fcp. Not a tough job just annoying. I hate taking off those wheel well covers.
