Creaks and rattles...Help!

My beautiful x1 has developed nasty door rattles and creaks. She\'s going to the dealer in 3 days but I\'ve been reading that BMW service hasn\'t helped fix this problem for other x1 owners.

I tried \"nourish\" the door seals with some rubber protector solution, which worked- but for just a couple of days.

Any ideas folks?

I have the same problem, when going in bad roads (most of them in Mexico) there is a constant rattling in the middle of the car, I noticed it increases as the outside heat increases, but can't figure out its origin. Anyone else?

It's always the rubber door seals. Be careful what you clean them with. BMW's answer is always that anti-squeek tape around the chassis door frame paintwork.

Fixed for noa

BMW service fixed it for now. The service invoice says they adjusted the front door strikers and the rear door catches.

Good as new for a few days, but I'm starting to hear the rattles again. Mumbai's roads are terrible after the monsoons.

Here's hoping the fix lasts a little while at least.
