if money is tight, get the cheapest winter tires you can.

the cheapest winter tire outperforms regular all-seasons in winter driving

edit:
the simplytire group buy is a good place to start

Thanks. Looks like some good packages. I need a store that also offers storage for the all-seasons. No room for tires in my condo.
May have to go the bmw dealer route.

I think it depends - especially if it's just wet rather than snow. For you guys though I guess it's mainly snow?

Worth a read : http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/wint...-tested/259257
Though UK-biased.

you're in luck. simply tire offers tire storage services too. (at least last time i checked)

allen has posted the latest package offering for bmws. the cheapest winter tires mounted on M5 replicas is only $1,030. less the group buy discount, you're under a thousand... good deal eh?

I've been ordering all tires from tirerack.com last couple years , you'll save at least 30% by ordering from the US. Unfortunately CAD/USD is not parity anymore
