Pic Request - X1 next to other cars

I am looking for a photo of the X1 parked next to another vehicle. It is difficult to get any concept of size on the car since it is always photographed on its own in a scenic setting.

Is anyone able to take a photo of the X1 next to a 3 series, or other BMW model? I am curious to know the overall dimensions and whether it will be a good fit for my needs or my wife's needs.

Thanks in advance.

There is a whole thread in here about the X1 vs. 3-series touring.

I would suggest sitting in one in a showroom

the new BIMMER magazine has a good article on the X1. I believe it said it was 8.5" narrower and 5" taller than an E91. I can't remember the length, but slightly shorter.

it will be a long time before I can view an X1 in the showroom as I am in Canada.

Also, a comparison against the 3 series wagon doesn't help much either since I have only seen 2 E46 and 1 E9x wagons in the past year. We see a lot more X5 and X3 models.

Thanks for for photos next to the 1 hatch, at least I get a better feel for the size of the X1, as we only have the 1 coupe and 1 convertible as options here with no diesel variants (only 128i and 135i)

It is lower and longer than the new VW Tiguan. Head down to your local dealer and check it out, they will be in the same class size.

Or try a google search....

X3 vs X1

OK, cool, I will head down to my local VW dealership and check out a Tiguan so I can get a better understanding of size.

Hoping my BMW SA will have details soon....but since the X1 will not be arriving on our shores for almost another year, I will just have to be patient.
