Roof Rack Compatiable thread

I swear last winter I found a thread where it showed a cross reference of other cars that aftermarket (Thule, etc) rook racks fits, that made it easier to find a used set. But I can't seem to find it.

Does anyone know what other roof rack cross bars will fit?

I would be interested as well. I have an old-school square-bar Thule system and would like to use as much of it as possible from my old car. Based on my research, I would need to buy the following parts from Thule:

Thule Podium Foot Pack 460 $200
Thule Fit Kit KIT4013 $110

That is a lot of greenbacks to run an old system. Curious to know what else is out there. There are generic roof bars on eBay for about $90-100 but I am not sure what bike trays would fit.

Exactly. It sucks to have to replace it. I missed out on a set for $100.

There was a huge writeup page on the forum, and I'll be damned if I can find it. There were a couple of cross references that fit. One from an Audi fit, I remember.

for whats it's worth, I found a set for $56.xx shipped to my door, new in the box.

At some point the original part number 82-71-2-149-465 was replaced. This number has been discontinued by BMW and replaced with 82-71-2-338-617. No body at BMW can tell me what the difference is, but plenty of others here have bought the 465 number. Maybe Thule stopped making them, and someone else is now, I don't know.

But if anyone still needs some, search the 465 number, you may find some on closeout somewhere, like I did.
