footwell lights retrofit

Has anybody installed the footwell lights. I already have them (number 63319242161) but no idea how to connect them to the car.
Thanks

Yes, I've installed them - I was not able to locate a suitable wire (ie one that goes hot when the doors are open), so ran a wire up through the passenger side A pillar, under the headliner close to the passenger side doors and tapped into the wire that feeds the right rear light over the door (by the grab handle). This has functioned fine for the last year. I also used LED bulbs in the lamps - there is already a hole in the foot well liner that directly accepts the stock fixtures. Hope this helps. Jack

Any chance you could post a few photos of how you installed them? I'm very interested but don't want to start peeling off the headliner until I'm certain.

Also, did you have to buy the bulbs/assembly/wiring all separately?

Thanks for your message. I've notice it some months after.

Some questions before trying.
Did you wire 2 pins or 4 pins?
I'm understanding that you connected both lights (driver and passenger) along the same side of the car (passenger)? How did you wire from driver to passenger
Didn't you try to bring tha wiring to the overhead lights?

Of course, if you have any photos, they'd be appreciated.

This summer I've missed to have the light bulbs installed.

Is there a step-by-step guide to retrofit footwell lights somewhere?

Did these cars come standard with them in some markets?

Where are they supposed to be wired to? How did BMW intend for them to function? (Only on when doors open, or always on at night?)
