34-days in Hong Kong

I recently spent over a month working in Hong Kong. My free time was spent dotting the city with my humble Canon T5i and brand new 10-18mm EFS lens. I only recently started post-processing my pics to boost color, so apologies if these look heavily 'shopped.

This lens has become an instant favorite! For the price and quality of photos, its a bargain.

sorry to but i may be moving to hk as well for a job.

could you share some details on your monthly rent and where you lived during your stay?

i have only been to hk on vacation and now with the possibility of living in such an expensive city, feedback is much appreciated.

my job would be in kowloon... ideally i would have a house on the peak but not there yet .

Cant help much since I was living out of a hotel. When I was there, I came across an ad for a serviced studio apartment in TST for US$2400/month!

Definitely the farther you go out into the New Territories the cheaper it is. HK is not a cheap place to live in.

Sick. Nice pics.

I love HK... I think it's probably tied with Paris for my personal 'most favourite city'.

Brilliant photos. I've spent some time in Thailand. I'd love to have the opportunity to be in HK for a while. Something like work there would be ideal.

...
Nice series. I think you ended up with a nice balance of colors. Adjust Contrast first and then look at Saturation.

Some of the hazy sky shots could stand even more contrast and color.

Still, nice set.

NYC was number 1 on my list until I visited Paris at which point Paris became number 1. Then I went to HK. New number 1. I've since been back 5 or 6 times and I never get tired of it. Every time I take the ferry from Zhongshan I get a little flutter of excitement in my stomach as soon as I see HK approach on the horizon. Such a great city!
