Nah, I have a spot I like for tint in my city.

I paid $270 - expensive but also top quality work with lifetime guarantee. Best in my city if you ask me.

The X1 does have 9 window panels to tint so it's going to cost more than most cars.

I got a quote from the dealer for $250 but I think they might want to only tint from B pillars back.. I hope the $250 gets me from the A pillar back..

Where I live, tinted rear windows means you can't park within walking distance at the airport - they'll send you to the faraway lot.

Check with your dealer but most won't do illegal tint either.

In my person opinion, the legal front limits are usually pointless. I would go 20% front and rear at the lightest.

With the moonroof it will look even lighter.

Where is this tint place? I wanna see what 20% looks like with the moonroof open. If you have time

Sounds good. I'm picking mine up on Monday and will get tint soon after.

i got the cargo liner after saw your thread. However, i found it not perfectly match as yours. Maybe i need to adjust a little bit. And i also attach a pic of in-car liner as well. Really enjoy the rubber material. Easy to clean.

My sDrive28i M Sport doesn't have headlight washers.

BMWUSA.com says sDrive28i and xDrive28i do not have standard headlight washers, but xDrive35i does have them standard. So that must be how some of you have them.

M Sport Line I think rules out the Cold Weather Package because of the steering wheel.

So,
M Sport x35i has headlight washers
M Sport s28i does not

Fellow New X1 Owner

Congratulations on your new X1. The white was my first choice, but I took the Mineral Gray Metallic because I liked the included options. I got the first 2014 the dealer had. I have only 500 miles on it so far, but I am extremely happy with it and the gas mileage.
Anyone with an X1 ever had any problems? I checked Consumer Reports several times for a rating, but it's too new to have enough data.

Legal Window Tint

I don't know about the other states, but in California we can legally use the clear ceramic tint for the front passenger, driver ,and even the windshield. It still cuts out the UV and reduces heat gain. I actually talked to a cop outside a restaurant where my car was parked and he said it looked legal to him. He couldn't tell the front windows were "tinted".

Yes, but I didn't tint the windshield or the sunroof.

A graded tint on the windshield and front side windows is all I really want. The visor is laughably tiny, and can possibly only work for REALLY tall people (I'm 6', sit with the seat all the way up, and it does me no good when the sun is low because the edge is too high up).
So I'm looking for a reputable window tinting company that can do a seamless gradual, and not cover the sensor behind the mirror.

Edit: It's not easy to find one. Not a single one of the "tinting" companies I found online do actual tinting - they only apply pre-tinted plastic film. Any pointers towards some that actually tint the glass would be welcome. (For the record, tinting up to 65% is legal in CT, 80% with a medical permit.)

Cool, i ordered M-tech Sterring wheel as well and will have my current one replaced this week.
I note you don't have headlight cleaning device, right? Here in China, if you choose xenon headlights, the cleaning part will be ordered together.

I love how the Le Mans Blue changes color depending on the angle of light. Sometimes you can even see a rainbow in the reflected sky when there isn't one. (I still would have opted for Imola Red if that had been an option.)
