X1 PCD

Well, tomorrow is the day for my PCD X1. We arrived in Greenville on Sat morning, drove down to Road Atlanta for Petit Lemans, then drove up to Deals Gap, what a road.

Photos here so far: https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#...B-49D0217AEC25

Will have more photos later!

Here are two more images from the Performance Center. They had an X1 x28i there for us to drive and I was quite surprised. It handled very well, braked nicely and was a blast to drive. I am very happy with the 28i; on the way home however, a dump truck hit a large bump in the highway and cracked my windshield. It also nicked my hood.

On the way home (580 miles or so), I averaged 30 MPG. I'm uber happy with how well it picks up from 70-100mph. I was also very surprised with the stock sound. It's a lot better than what I had in my 11 128i. (Stock to stock).

The PCD is well worth it. The food was good and the atmosphere was amazing. Next up, tint, springs and some tuning.

Great-looking ride. Sorry to hear about the road rash. Got that first ding out of the way, I guess.

And I, too, was pleasantly surprised by the stock audio.

Nice ride, I've got a Mineral White M Sport. SC insurance companies are required to replace windshields for free but that's a SC law. Had the exact same thing happen when we bought our 2010 Mini Clubman S, mini's are rock magnets because they ride so low.

The same law applies in Florida as well. The glass has to be ordered so hopefully by the end of this week it will be fixed.

Looks great! I alread regret not having ordered those wheels, they look really good. Well we'll see if I can find a nice set next spring.
