They do have incredible road presence there is one I see occasionally near me in same color. They look better preportioned in person I think.

Is it actually a Fisker Karma? Or is it a Karma Revero?

Ha! Actually now I can't tell! It looked so new I doubt it was from 2012 but who knows...

Why does it need that long a hood for the tiny little engine?

I saw one about a week ago in the wild. Gorgeous gorgeous car. If they aren’t junk maybe they’ll sell enough to stick around.

Fisker makes ugly things, I have yet to see anything of his that contradicts that.

That may one of the craziest things (non political) I have ever read on the internet.

Fisker designed the Z8 roadster

the Aston Martin DB9

and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Those are objectivly some of the best looking cars ever.

Are you thinking of Chris Bangle?

Crap, forgot about the V8. That is good. All the rest had better originals. The Z8 is no better than this.

Seen a few in person...body panel fit was quite horrendous on all of them. Not very impressive, whatsoever

You really think the Z8 falls outside of the same retro design of the Beetle, Thunderbird and others? It's just a half assed modernization of the wildly more original and prettier 507.

I think I touched a nerve with this thread

I agree the styling is unusual but it caught my eye in a sea of boring cookie cutter sedans (yes that includes M-cars).

Yes, unequivocally a better modernization than the Beetle or the Thunderbird or the FJ or any other save the Ford GT, but feel free to tell me what a shit design that was.

Seriously, I have never ever heard anyone say the Z8 was an average design effort.

There's one in Fort Worth I see every few months when I go down there. It's kind of interesting to look at, but I've read the reviews and tests and most of them were all about "WTF is wrong with this thing?" in terms of fuel mileage and other features.

It's a modern-day DeLorean, a turd that kind of looks nice, but doesn't deliver on anything. Mileage sucks for what it is, performance sucks for what it is, it's no S-class, etc. Compare to the Tesla Model S, which does deliver on efficiency, performance, etc.

Yeah, um, Red Bread ... Henrik Fisker's one of the standout car designers of the current era. The Z8 is stunning for what it is (There's a reason Steve Jobs chose it as his DD most days), the Vantage V8 speaks for itself (it's only British competition: the F-Type), and the original Fisker here has more road presence than just about any car short of a chrome Gallardo.

Not only is there one in Fort Worth, but there are at least two in Dallas (someone who frequents the Arts District during weekdays drives one regularly.)

And his influence at AM isn't gone. Check out the Fisker eMotion vs the new Vantage, which polarizing grill treatment aside is almost universally lauded as an overall design. LOTS of design similarities.

Cool. Still don't like any of them aside from the Vantage and would take a Zagato over that.

Steve Jobs had a lot of money and made good business decisions. But his fashion statements aren't exactly his strong suit.
