BMW Canada X1 promo for May (1.9%, $1,500 credit)

For Cannucks wanting an X1 and don't care about the LCI X1, this is your chance

http://www.bmwtoronto.ca/eBlasts/05-...w-toronto.html
http://www.bmw.ca/ca/en/insights/spe..._offers10.html

Big gap from when X1 was launched... $4.9% lease rate, no credits, small negotiable discounts.

Will need to find out what May's residuals are before determining if the 1.9% is a 'deal' over previous deals.

I just signed for an X1 @ 2.9% with 56% residual on 39mo, but haven't taken delivery yet. If the residuals are the same this month, I am hoping they will honour the new rate...

They will give you the new rate if it benefits you, just don't forget to "remind" them... you know, stealerships tend to have a short memory after you've signed the paperwork

I actually wanted BMW Canada to credit me, because they fool me for buying the 2012 style which only last 1 year and the LCI comes. That's a big $$ loss if I ever sell my car.

Except it wasn't one year - it was based on the European model that had been out for some time by that point. BMW are pretty consistent it seems with their refresh cycle, and the X1 is no different. They no doubt didn't make it obvious, however the info was potentially there to be found. Hindsight is great though.

FWIW, I was a bit disappointed that they changed the gear box to the 8-speed so soon after I'd ordered mine - there want much precedent to have seen that one coming. I still love my car though - I have got what I wanted from it.

Just wondering - from your general posts you seem utterly unimpressed with BMW and the X1 for so many reasons - maybe it isn't the brand/car for you?

I understand you. But what I'm frustrated is, BMW Canada. Not BMW corp. They market the X1 for one year, yet the LCI comes along.... I've never seen any model out there that they market for 1 year and the car gets to the LCI.

Went in to the dealership today, and without any issue at all BMW Grand River revised my paperwork on 1.9%, down from the 2.9% I signed off on last week. Good people there.
