Zenon Headlight issue

Hi All

X1 35i 2013 - Problem with Zenon head light. Bulb went dim ( dark blue/purple) this past winter. everything was fine. Now bulb is dimmed again and when in auto mode and it is dark, all the headlights flash.When in manual mode, the lights dont flash but bulb is dim. I checked the error codes and no codes showed up. Checked Live data on Protools and the light functions as it is supposed to according to live data.



I'm prepared to change the bulb again but I'm thinking it may be the headlight control unit/ or the other ALC module. I'd rather not take off the bumper to check, and not replaced modules as they are $150-200 each if this is something more simple to solve.
