MOONROOF / sunshade stuck, Drive for Sunshade

Hi guys, my x1 moonroof is stuck and doesn’t seem to work at all. I’ve tried initialising it but no lock, anti trap warning is on and when the button is pressed the front glass tilts up and that’s all. The error code on diagnostic is saying ‘drive for sun shade and second code is initialising sunshade. The sunshade itself is stuck in open position and doesn’t seem to move at all. I’ve tried pulling it with button pressed but no luck, I can hear a click coming from the back when button is pressed but that’s all. All fuses are ok, I’ve checked a new motor too but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Need to remove headliner. Two plastic brackets... Likely broken. It's a real pain to fix. Dealer quote last year was over $2500. Indy was about $1800.

Drive with sunroof liner v open and clear the codes if you don't want to fix it

I remember something similar happened to me before where it got stuck open and wouldn't close or move at all. I tried the following and it fixed my issue.

When it's stuck open. Turn on your car and keep the engine running to avoid using up the battery. On the console press the the open moonroof button down for like a minute, if nothing happens then press the vent button for a minute, and then if nothing happens press the close moonroof button for a minute.
