it has to be "W" since all X1s are built in Leipzig

New F25 X3 production is in the USA, Spartanburg, SC.

X1 production is in Germany, Leipzig, although some or all of the production is being moved to Chennai, India.

Most X1s are made in Leipzig (will explain my 3 month+ wait). But India assembles it for their market (it's actually quite cheap there, but you can't 'configure' options - they just sell you a standard or 'deluxe').

They're also assembling it now in Singapore (with a slight price decrease before they were imported).

I'm still scratching my head why they don't assemble it in South Africa since there's a BMW factory here. And I think X1s here are the most expensive in the world. Seriously.

Oh damn... I have such a bar experience with working with people in India. I'm seriously not liking the fact that it's built there. Don't build my X1 there! I admit it sounds rascist... ban hammer?

There was also a video review from certain India TV channel that reviewed X1, and one of the comments were that it's not a perfectly well finished car and they've shown some plastic bits around the gear stick that were like a few cm off position. Now I know why!

Maybe it would be cheaper then if we ordered just the parts of X1 and assemble it ourselves? It would sure be quicker!
