Just curious what part of the warranty it would void? The starter motor? The alarm? Sounds like the dealer blowing smoke.
Similar to dealers claiming an aftermarket tune voids the whole warranty. |

Mine said the same thing. They also said it's a pain in the ass to do. My brother in law does them professionally and he said not to bother especially with comfort access because it's more work than what it's worth.

And if not done correctly, it can cause problems. I had a car that started leaking water into the interior because of a remote starter, and how they had hidden the antenna for it under the front window rubber seal. It never got back to normal, even after removing it.

I'm thinking for the winter I might grab a large solar panel and wire it to a small space heater. Or do nothing because I have heated seats/steering wheel.
I'll be doing the solar panel regardless for battery charge operations, might just do a bigger one for a little heat as well.

Presumably the OP wants a remote start to heat the car up before getting into it in the winter (or cool in the summer). A solar panel and space heater would seem to address this issue without voiding any warranties (albeit it would probably be a pretty poor alternative).
