Call your insurance company, they'll tell you. There are too many variables to compare prices. In broad terms, for me it's 17.5% less than my M3.

I am bad at math. I have a couple minor accidents "points" on my AAA insurance for my 2006 Lexus IS250. I kept it, added my partner to the insurance and the 2013 X1 in late November, and my insurance year had started September. AAA asked for $350 to add the X1 for the remainder of the year (until this September). So not unhappy about that. Guess I'll know the true breakdown when I get the next statement.

Insurance
it all depends on where you live, your driving record....but if you are paying under $2k a year that's fine.

So let me add to the original question; Did your insurance go up or down compared to your previous car? I just quoted mine and it went up $10 a month compared to my 2010 e90.

Again, your question is too generic to give a good answer to. |

I'm happy that I'm not unhappy! j/k. My point would be, it's insurance, who's happy to pay it or really knows what determines the price? But you need insurance. So when I heard the premium increase to add the X1 for the last 9 months or so was about $350, I said to myself, "Could've been worse." Which is also a working definition for "not unhappy."
