I dig the exterior (despite seeing so much Tesla model S in the nose which kind of bothers me) but the interior needs to be so much better! It reminds me of some other car that i'm having a hard time pinning down. Maybe a ford fusion.

I am very disappointed. When is bmw really going to take something like this to a new level. This looks way too much like the i8

What's the story with the shoulder harness-only seat belt?

LOVE it! Don't change one thing about it BMW. And don't ruin the side of the car with door handles. For te life of me, if Tesla can make cars with door handles that are flush to the body, everyone can

Oh man. That's gold. Sorry Stu Pedasho, but commenting on this guy's fashion sense on a BMW forum kind of begged for this response. Car looks like it has potential. I like it.

The car is beautiful. This builds on the batmobile concept from a couple years ago and adds features to the exterior that are lasting. The whole body is really low. It is like a front engine 911 in some ways, kind of like what a Panamera could have once been and never achieved.
For those who don't like it I think we need to see it in the flesh. For production the hood will stop earlier so the crease is not facing the pedestrian- as occurred in the M4. But otherwise I can't see why to change it much. I like it. |

Looks good, but a lot of these BMWs are becoming way too expensive. As in Aston Martin prices.

It looks huge. The 8 series should be sleek and low. I guess those are days of the past and we're not going back.

Even if it's in the same class it doesn't need to be carbon copies.. size wise anyway. Either way, I'm sure it'll be much more different once it is actually produced.. if it ever does get into production.

Like most of the new BMW designs, this car is probably a lot more impressive in person.
It does not look huge to me. The car has that hard-to-tell dimension like a Pininfarina of years past. Those cars are tiny but look big in photos. A design that challenges perceptions is a great design. A work of art such as a great sculpture is always hard to gauge how tall or heavy it is. |
