Question for Canadians

As a deprived American, I have been waiting for the new X1 (///M please!). I noticed the dimensions of the x1 are very close to the Dodge Caliber. How would you compare the seating room between the two? is there adequate knee room for a 6'3" driver and an adult passenger behind them?

To be honest no - I'm just below 6 foot, and I drive with the seat nearly all the way back. If there's an adult behind me I have to slide up. But an automatic helps - so it's not too painful.

How easy is getting in and out? Does the dash provide obstruction To the knees/legs?

Here's my two cents.

1 - There is a big hump at the right leg tibia level. I'm 5'8" and I'm not comfortable because I can't fully open my leg. I believe it's mostly because BMW design the AC condensator at this location.
See this pic for explanation.

2 - The floor of the X1 is elevated and the seat is seated quite low. I couldn't find a good leg position when in traffic as I like to put my leg on the floor and not the dead pedal..... this is not comfortable...

Do the seats not elevate/tilt?

It does, but then you will be limited to the ceiling too....
Get the non sunroof if you need extra headroom.

I'm 6' 4" tall, my X1 has a sunroof along with sports seats and lumber support. There is plenty of room for my knees, no problem with headroom or access. My seat position is not quite as far back as it will go and as far as I can see there would be enough legroom for an adult to sit on the seat behind it for a short journey. Remember the rake of the rear seat back can also be adjusted.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I've been a bit worried about this.
