Towbar
Hi
We got the X1 a week last Saturday and everything is working well - that is until I went to plug in the light bar for the bike rack. The socket on the car is 13 pin whereas normal UK trailer sockets are 7 pin (as is the light bar). In a previous BMW car with a removable towbar there was an adapter lead. I'm wondering whether this adapter lead is missing or whether they have just fitted the wrong socket to the car - either way, I'll be on the phone to the dealers tomorrow but wondered whether anyone had any experience on this???

i also ordered the towbar option and a little conversion plug has been delivered together with my car. It is located in the trunk, together with the towbar. It's a tiny little box, so maybe you looked over it

Thanks for the reply - We can't find any conversion plug anywhere - I even got the boss (my wife) to do a double check for me in case my eyes are wrong - nothing!

Update for anyone who's interested.
BMW dealer apologised and immediately posted a 13 pin Continental to 7 pin UK adapter. Job done - trailer socket works! All I've got to do now is put the Thule on!
