X1 2013 owners with xenon headlights

Hello my friends,

I just want to kindly ask you to do me a favor and post a picture of your original X1 H8 white bulbs from your xenon headlights (DRL angel eyes).

I just want to know the part number/brand to see if I can replace my yellow ones with original BMW's or if I need the new 2013 headlight.

Thanks a lot!

Replaced my 2012 X1 bulbs with the BMS Terry suggested LED without hassle. Entire units could be kept within the designed light box and they were on all the time when engine rans for over 2,000km. Let me know if there is anything better.

Sorry, I just pulled it from RealOEM:
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...68&hg=63&fg=05

What's interesting is that ECS lists it as a fog light bulb:
http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/07119906503/ES1899648/

Here's a cheaper alternative:

Are they still using H8 lamps in the LED angel eyes?

Thanks, i didn't realize BMS had a solution: http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_LED_angel_eyes.html

Now I need to choose between BMS and BavAuto...leaning BMS.

I did a little research and it seems that the new LED rings do not use the H8 bulbs so you cannot duplicate the new look without ring replacement.

I also read that the H8 replacements bulbs by WeissLicht and BMS are not very bright/visible in the daytime.

For H8 replacements most of the E90 folks recommend Lux: http://luxangeleyes.com/products

I don't plan to make any changes and will leave the ambers in our 128i.
