M badge?
Silly question but do the 2014's M Sports come with the M badge on the outside just forward of the driver/pax doors? I have searched but cannot find the answer.

Thanks! I am nowhere near any dealer right now so I can't check (out of the country currently). When I go to BMW's site it doesn't show the badge (for the M Sport build) so I was curious. I guess I will see when I pick mine up next month.

It's such a cheap part I wouldn't be surprised if your dealer would just give them to you. It is a legitimate complaint - it's a mid-year change that some buyers will care about on the used market, and that you weren't warned of before buying the car.

strangely enough, I had the dealer remove mine. My feeling (as ill thought out as it may be) is that exterior M badges are just for M-series vehicles not
M-package vehicles |

If you put a M badge next to the X1 though, that would be more than I'd go for. |

Mine is located toward the bottom, a bit more discreet. Likely going to remove the "xdrive 35i" and just keep the ///M. also dropped the "x1" off the back

In contrast to the M badging, I'm a little miffed that the "35i" isn't prominently displayed on the back of the vehicle beside the X1. This just to agitate the owners of those hulking X5's and X3's who run the same engine... The mind works in mysterious ways !

IMO, M badging should only be on actual M vehicles. The M Sport trim is distinctive enough, no badging needed.

Just ordered a 2015 X1 xdrive35i. That M-badge will be off as soon as I get the car home! I will likely remove the xdrive35i also.
