Anyone else having trouble with ConnectedDrive?

I signed up through the BMW portal for ConnectedDrive this morning. The BMW "Genius" said that they would send the code to the car to turn on this functionality. It's been 12 hours and "Store" has still not shown up on my Idrive menu selections. I just called the "Genius" a few minutes ago and they had me update my BMW assist through the car which was successful but Store still does not show up. They said to wait 20 minutes because the car performs a hard reset after it has been shut off for 20 minutes. I'll see what happens after the 20 minutes time.

I had my CIC replaced last month and am wondering if when they downloaded the firmware to the car if something could have been messed up?

Just wondering if anyone else is also having problems with this?

Hmm, I didn't think our X1's (with previous-generation underpinnings) would even support the latest BMW ConnectedDrive technology. I registered for the new system online and the app on my smartphone updated itself and has a few more things added like Facebook and Twitter that I don't remember seeing before. But I haven't tried adding the "Store" option to the vehicle yet.

I called the "Genius" for the 4th time because Store is still not showing up on my iDrive. I asked them if the CIC system was supported. The "Technology Genius" is not there on Saturday. They promised to check and call me back on Monday. I'll wait and see what happens.

Finally got an answer. The 2013 iDrive architecture does not support ConnectedDrive, I'll call BMW assist tomorrow to cancel the service. Darn it would have been a nice addition.

Huh, my 2011 X1 (albeit the UK version) has connected drive. I can use BMW online to get the news, weather etc as well as send to google maps.

You can update iDrive as well on your model I thought?
