Got a call from my dealer today ... X1 due into Melbourne on the 20th April ... so hopefully will take delivery (in Tasmania) soon after Easter

Congrats! Looks like you didn't missed a thing. I love the car with 20% of the eq you added, and 18d sD engine. Hence, yours will be good enough to sleep in it!

Called into the dealer yesterday ... it's in Melbourne waiting for shipment to Tasmania ... so maybe I will take delivery later in the week.

While I was there I had a god look at the new X3 ... lovely car, but its quite large ... around the same size as the X5 I would think.

Pleased I decided to buy the X1 ... I'm a single guy with no family, so the X1 size is ideal for me!

The 2010 X3 (or 2011 for you guys..

) is about the same size as the first generation X5 indeed.

The X1, being similar to the 3Series in girth, is a likely preview of the newer 3Series GT about to be released. Can't wait for that one.

X1 is the way to go. Can't imagine driving something bigger then that. That's really my personal limit atm.
