Defective CIC Business Headunit replacement

Hi to all,
I have sound problems with my headunit since 2 years.
No reparation activities have solved the problem: no sound even if the menu and the display are working: Sometimes i turn on the car and i can ear audio,sometimes not at all.

I was thinking if there is the possibility to trhow the headunit in the trashcan, and buy a new set with Android (new 10.5 display, etc..). I don't know if i could also for example put a simple stereo connected to this android tablet ad display.

Is it possible, or is the original headunit mandatory for sound or system parameters and checking?
