thanks Jason!

I noticed navigation code 609, I wonder if it means "next gen" iDrive navigation...

Welcome additions for Canadians:
- 35i option
- M sport pkg
- rearview camera
- 609 Navigation
- Eco Pro (for some)
- Servotronic (for some)
- auto high beams

I wish they sprinkled some F30 love on the X1, like the auto tailgate sensor, enhanced instrument cluster, among others

As I scroll through, here's my thoughts:

Hope you like black or beige interior, cause those are the only choices. What happened to red/brown(chesnut)?
And no Space Gray!
Sport Line is a waste. $1,900 for wheels, black mirror caps, & sport seats. How do you not include sport suspension on a Sport Line? M-Sport is a no-brainer as you get so much more for your money.
They fixed the xenon restriction on the 3-series, but kept it on the X1. Still need to get premium pkg to get xenons. Grrrrr.

The sDrive 28 is what I had my heart set on for my wife but because I do not have the option to get the xenon lights without having to fork over thousands more I will be passing on this car. I hope BMW is reading this. It's getting to the point where push comes to shove and potential business is going to go to the competition because forcing customers are being forced to have options that they don't need or will never use just to have 1 option that they want. Just like said above. They did the change for the 328 why not for this model?! It's not like we are buying a 7 or 6 series where money isn't much of a big deal to have the simple luxury of headlights and obviously don't mind paying for them. I say offer more individual options for the lower end models and more packages for the higher end ones.

Sorry had to vent.

If you want the sdrive you are definitely stuck wit black or beige so I'm going with beige on Glacier Silver. I already have a Clubman S that's silver with beige leather and it's not bad. I would have liked oyster but I don't need Xdrive. Going with M Sport and Ultimate pkg, didn't want the Ultimate but need park distance control and or camera and you have to spend a fortune to get it like was already mentioned. PDC should be a separate option since its a true safety feature that everyone should have in a SUV. Pricing out at $43,795 and need to decide on aluminum or fine line wood trim.

The X1 is a contender for replacement for our VW Tiguan but I agree, the xenon thing really is bothersome. How is that not a standard feature on a BMW? How is that not standard on any vehicle >$30k?

I have to echo what's been said above. Maybe I'm just not getting it, but the sLine and xLine seem overpriced for what you get. No performance control or sport seats and it's still $1900. They need to do a better job in explaining what you get cause it doesn't look like much. Also, I'd rather have the lights package bundled with the Ultimate instead of the ZDA. The ZDA should be included as part of the Tech package. Seems a bit ridiculous that it's not. I was excited about the X1 as a viable possibility but the packaging is putting a damper on it as of now.

And if not standard why not as a stand alone option at the very least!

So the standard interior trim is Silve Matte. I suppose that is probably an electroplated plastic trim then.

Hell, I was hoping heated steering wheel and Comfort Access would be available as standalone options, this kinda sucks. No wait, it just sucks.

Maybe we can get creative with the order forms and add the codes for what we want?

Can we get the color chips added to this thread?

Who are you going to buy from and not run into this issue? None of the direct competition, I don't think.

You get traditional power steering which varies assistance based on engine RPM rather than vehicle speed. Bare in mind that the steering is still hydraulic in either case rather than electric as with many new BMWs.

I have driven this car in Germany as a SIXT rental car some time ago and have been waiting to get it here in the US. I agree with all of you fellow posters, these packages are definitely not enabling enthusiast to order the car exactly the way we want. I am debating if I wait a bit after the X1 has been introduced to our market to see if changes are coming or just go with a different car altogether.
