Lightbulb I Installed Ultra-Bright Headlights on my BMW E84 and Now I Need Your Help!

Greetings, fellow BIMMER enthusiasts!

So, I recently installed these ultra-bright headlights on my E84 that I found on Amazon. And well, let's just say that I might have gone a bit overboard with the lumens.

Don't get me wrong, each headlight by itself is perfect for navigating through the dark Canadian roads. But when both the low and high beams are on, the asphalt 2 meters ahead gets so bright that my eyeballs feel like they're melting.

I spent a good chunk of change on these lights, not to mention the installation process that involved removing the front bumper and headlight dust boxes. The last thing I want to do is go back to my mechanic and ask him to undo his hard work just because I need less blinding headlights.

So, my dear BMW friends, I turn to you for some help. Is there a way to tweak the car's computer so that the low beams turn off when the high beams are engaged? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and may your headlights never be too bright!"

All I know is one can do coding to turn on/off fog lights when high beam is active. I don't recall can disable low beam when high beam is active. Can you please share the make, brand and model number of this ultra-bright H7 headlight? I would like to upgrade my E84 lighting to ultra-bright if is an easy bulbs exchange.

Hey there, the model I got is called Arsimotor (link below) but be warned that they are no joke!
Unless you want to drive with sunshades at night I recommend upgrading only your high or low beams, except if you have a computer cable to code the lows to turn off when the highs are on. Looks like it can be done and I already ordered the cable.
Cheers!

Thank you for the link. Looks like is 120w which is significantly higher than standard 55w in US model. First incarnation is factory wiring hold up with this much wattage.

Often LED power usage is compared to incandescent/halogen wattage but may not represent the true power consumption. LED wattage equivalence is generally about 1/10th.

Good to know that LED is 1/10th consumption which bring down to 12W. I'll have to upgrade to LED low headlight bulbs and look into coding out the dash warning status. Anyone know if need to purchase headlight resistor or can get away with coding?

Aren't these H7 lights these same for low beams and high beams, and the voltage is different?

Which bulbs did you replace? The highs or lows?
