technically, I didn't buy it. A family member did... in order to earn miles, split between 3 different airline credit cards. ended up making about $7,000 due to the price of gold going up at time.

Later in the week, it was examined and tested by two gold dealers and found to be exactly what it was... well... gold.

I didn't even know that gold dealers used x-ray machines to test for gold.

I just upgraded my phone as well. I went with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I also bought a rugged looking, waterproof, dust proof, dirt proof, snow proof, shockproof and drop proof case. (Phew, that's a mouthful.) I'm not gonna lie, it was a struggle to get the phone jammed into that case. We'll see if it lives up to it's packaging hype.
