P2402 Engine Code Issue
Anyone have any idea what could throw a generic code of P2402 for the E84? I read on other models it might be the leak detection pump that went bad. My car is a 2013 BMW X1 sdrive currently at 57K miles; bought it used from dealer in August when it had 48K miles on it. I don't think this issue would be cover under any sort of warranty (emission?)?
On BMW Carly app: 003225 - DMTL leak diagnosis pump control: Short circuit to positive |

if related to emission: in the CA warranty are longer. i think is 7 year 70k. read the manual booklet that should have come with the vehicle.

I'm assuming this might be the part that's not functioning correctly. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...ne-16137193479 I've erased the code, was good for about 200 miles, light came back on. Erased it again today, came back on within 20 miles. |

Just wanted to add my own data point.
Same code on 2013 x28i e84, DTML pump was located under the car on the opposite side of the exhaust. had to take off some of the underbody covers, replaced the grommet and the pump. Cleared the code and has not come back yet. |
