I think I will. I tow a boat every weekend, mountain bike often and also drive a lot. The combined utility is great for an all-arounder.

If everything works out yes. Plan to order an AW s28i MSport with 19s. Nothing more, nothing less. The only future mod would be to lower it so it would look more like a wagon, than a SAV/CUV.

Looking forward to checking them out when they arrive at the dealer! Would be nice to stay in a BMW, and the X1 is a strong contender. But a base 28i x-drive will cost about the same as a Highlander or Grand Cherokee the way I want them optioned with more standard features. I need more room these days, so that's my consideration.

I plan on ordering a Mineral Grey xdrive M-Sport with the optional 19's when I leave Okinawa for the States again. Will be going with the ultimate package and HK system also. I am trying to decide on the N20 with 8-speed or the N55 with 6-speed. I really want the N55, but for some reason I am hung up on the 8-speed and would consider the N20 to get it. We were going to order the F25 35i, but we realized we can get by with the smaller E84 and save some cash.

Absolutely. Just placed an order for the X1 xDrive28i yesterday for my wife to replace her outgoing 535i xDrive.

I was, too. But after reading that people had to wait up to 3 months to get their ordered X1s, I decided to put my order in and hope that I will get it before the snow starts falling in October. But no one seems to know when the X1 will get here. Even my sales associate said, "it depends on when BMW will officially announce the X1 here in America," when I asked him about when can we anticipate receiving the car now that it has been in the production state.

X1 was already announced (officially); mid to late July production dates and you should see them within 1-2 months at dealers. Not sure why your sales associate doesn't know that?

Mine goes to production the last week in July. I expect to have it in mid to late August.

My X1 is now in Production!

My X1 is already in production and according to the 800 number should be finished production on July 23rd. Now the really long wait begins. From what I've read it can be another 1 day to 3 weeks waiting at port to ship and then another 3-4 weeks to actually ship from Germany to California. In this age of instantaneous gratification, this waiting is killing me.

It was announced at the NYC auto show, yes, but not when it is expected to arrive here. That was just announced 2 days ago from the first batch of reviews that came in stating an October release date.

My wife will consider one when the lease on her Ford Edge is up. She is also strongly considering a Mini.

Bmwrules, we're trading out of a 2010 Clubman S to the X1 so if you have any Mini questions let me know. Are you interested in a loaded Clubman at a hot price since I already negotiated a trade in price?

Don't have any idea what you talking about the thread being off topic because every comment above is regarding purchasing an X1?

Your right, I've gone mad. I was somehow stuck in another thread when I posted my above comment. My B
