She's here

Pick her up yesterday (12 Jan 12), very impressed it feels a lot bigger than it looks. Lots of fun to be had.
Still trying to get i tunes loaded onto a USB stick and display cover art, also selecting an album from USB is not happing, it just plays from the top down or random but can see all albums.

Glove box is far to small and miss the little storage box on the drivers side (3 series) but going to have fun..

1st Long Trip

I have just brought her across to mainland Europe using the Channel Tunnel, great drive and well on the way to running her in. Very funny to see that the DVD won’t play on the train as some random sensor thinks the car is moving, with the engine off, played ok in the car park.
Sat Nav was great with split screen, lane guidance and instructions very good, but the pronunciation of Calais and Dunkerque did make me laugh.
Cruise control was great and the auto dimming side mirrors and rear view worked well.
Great start

Screen wash bottle now un-frozen after a spell in a heated garage, emptied by several short bursts on the pump and filled with real screen wash with anti-freeze rather than BMW water..
BMW have been informed of the issue and I await their reply !

Over 48 hours and no reply from BMW UK, they have either got their very best 'Frozen Water Bottle' Expert on the case or are not to good at the customer service part of the deal..

Thanks for comments guys

I got a reply from BMW:-'I am sorry to learn of the inconvenience you faced when the washer bottle froze during the recent extreme cold weather witnessed across Western Europe'

Dear BMW -15 is not extreme cold weather for 'screen wash solutions' they all start at -20, mind BMW will send an e mail to the dealership, though I don't know why as the wash is filled in the factory not the dealership........

Cant wait for Monday's answer......

Nice reply today, seems the factory fill is suited to cope with -18 so the 'Slush Puppy' effect I got at -15 is understandable. To be fair who was to know we would hit these temperatures over the last few weeks, but next year I will use BMW screen wash to a better mixture ratio.

Still loving the car and its all run in now..

Well winter's the perfect time to slide open the screen, to let whatever sunlight there is to warm the car.
