BMS tune placement

I'm about to install a BMS stage 1 tune on my X1, wondering where to place the control box.

Anyone who installed a BMS tune (be it stage 1 or JB4) please tell me where do you place the control box and, if possible, show a picture.

Thanks in advance.

Are you following the directions that are on the PDF from the burger site? There are pictures in it with clear directions.

Actually I did, I have made myself pretty familiar with the install.

The problem is, the instruction PDF they provides is for F30, which has a significant different engine bay. I can't place the control at the top right hand corner under some rubber seal as I could have F30.

So I really need advice on this, where to place the control box to keep it secured, clean and try in E84's engine bay.

Any advice will be appreciated.

There are separate instructions for E9X series cars... If i remember, they refer you to the N54 video or instructions...Typically install your box where the ECM is

Thanks man. I looked up the E series N55 instruction and it hinted a good spot placing the control box.

If it's similar to the N55 135 JB4 install, I taped some foam to one side of the JB4 with painters tape. Then I put the JB4 into the ECU box. The foam kept the JB4 from bouncing around and the painters tape was easy to remove.
