Seriously. "Drag racing" is something I do but if I'm testing my car in a straight line.... I do it early AM or late PM with another car, Waze, my V1 and BT phone with a lookout car. So it's not random.

I hate these asses who drive that way on the streets. I think jail is warranted but I am 100% against civil forfeiture, gives law enforcement and prosecutors way too much incentive to take peoples stuff.

You guys have it easy. Here in Ontario, Canada if your caught the vehicle is impounded your license instantly suspended and a fine that can reach $10,000.
When or if you get your licence back after whatever period of time you have to get your car from the impound which charges daily.
Then try to get insurance which can also be as high as $10,000 annually.
Surely the lawmakers need to make a more strict penalty for idiots like this down there.

Lord how I hate the bikes, weaving in and out between lanes, and using the shoulder. I see way too much of it in North Dallas. And they get so touchy when you have trouble seeing them and you change lanes

The police are there to keep you safe and keep public roads orderly, not to take your property. That benefits the government without benefiting the people they serve, and it can really hurt people who get caught up in it. Civil forfeiture is a disgraceful practice.

I drive it like I stole it every time I get behind the wheel.. I didn't buy a turbo BMW and add an LSD and JB4 piggy to cruise the boulevard.. This car gives me an immediate rush every time my big toe buries the pedal.. It's exactly what I pay for and it's exactly what I get.. I don't understand why they are so many hypocritical BMW owners on this forum who gets so judgmental anytime someone gets caught driving their car in a spirited manner. It is the main reason a person purchases a car that is 'performance' oriented and is capable of handling like its on rails.. Or else I would of just gotten a Camry and save like $25,000.. Everything someone choose to do have risks and consequences and this guy just got a bad streak of luck and got caught.. I know some people of this forum feel like they are looking at this guy through some sort of window but you're really staring at a mirror because everyone who owns a BMW (even the slow ones) have pressed out on it one time or the other..

I've had an M6 and I now have an M4. I've raced Z4Ms, M5s and M6s on the Irwindale Speedway racetrack. I enjoy spirited driving. And I do so, especially in the mountains. But the first post was not about "spirited driving" at all. It was about two reckless drivers, who endangered the lives of a lot of people who could not be prepared for their antics. I hope those two drivers serve 6 months in jail.

If you want to drive in a spirited manner, doing so on a crowded freeway, or in a residential area, is not the place to do so. Unless your post was satire you should be ashamed of yourself.

All fun and game until someone gets hurt Mr. "drive it like you stole it because I paid for it". Sure drive spiritedly, and take it to the track, but this guy endangered others. Buying BMW as you state doesn't give you or him right to do that any more than buying (again as you state) Camry.
