Hello, just got an x1 !

Hey all, I just replaced my wife's '13 335 sedan with a '15 x135. Really liking it so far!

There are some things about the f30 that i miss (slightly lighter, rwd, 8spd gearbox, better gauge cluster display) and our x1 is a demo car we took off the lot so there are some features missing that i would have ordered (sports seats, hk stereo, oyster interior) but on the whole I am really liking the hydraulic steering, "old school" suspension tuning and hatchback form factor.

Looking forward to learning more about the x1 from these forums. The alpina transmission flash and coding digital speedometer are two ideas I've already pick up. Thanks!

Welcome to the club! It's a great car and I'm sure you're going to love it.
Post some pictures when you can!

JB4, pronto!

After that, save for Bilsteins, springs, and maybe a rear sway.

I like that line of thinking! My F80 M3 will be very insecure if X1 shows up with new turbo and supporting mods....

EDIT: here's a pic from day 1 at home. Low-res; sorry. Haven't had a chance to take pics in the day time. Too busy have fun cruising!

Welcome to the X1 family and congrats!

I'm about 4 months in on mine and absolutely love it. I wouldn't mind if it got a little better gas mileage, but that's probably as much on me as it is the car

Meh, get a nice roof rack/cargo box, and relatively small car seat(s).

No kids here; i can see how rear facing seats would make it really a squeeze up front.

so far so good with 2 adults, dog, bicycles and some gear though!

Works perfectly fine with two kids (6 weeks and 6 years). Front passenger seat is a tight squeeze and sometimes you have to get creative with packing the trunk but totally reasonable.

thanks for the welcome! I think we really lucked out getting an E84 35 demo most of the E84 I saw that were still left on the dealer lots were sDrive28 that were missing some of the comfort/convenience features that we wanted.
