Will these wheels/tires fit my 2014 X1?

I had a 2003 330 Ci until a truck hit it and totaled it. I had my snow tires/wheels on it during the crash so I have my factory wheels still and I'm curious if they'll fit my new X1. Sorry, a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff.

I have a new 2014 xDrive28i.

The old tires were:
Front: 225 40 18
Rear: 255 35 18

I have no idea what all tires would fit those wheels, if they would then fit on the X1 and what effect they would have on performance.

Thoughts?

Should fit no problem and tires are fine for xi
May want some spacers and a drop to make it a bit more aggressive

Std fit for staggered tires on 18" wheels is:

225/45/18
255/40/18

So you are slightly undersized by 3% and 4%. In general, the recommended difference is no more than about +/-3%. Other more knowledgable than me can offer more guidance.

The other question is the offset. What is it. That tends to be the bigger factor.

Front to rear needs to be within the below 4% range. The 225/40 255/35 is .5% +/- of eachother depending on tire manufacturer. Being slightly shorter tires overall will reflect your speed slightly due to a smaller rolling diameter.
I run 225/35/19 and 265/30/19 due to my ride height and there have been no ill effects for 15,000 miles and ive been lowered 5" for a year, i also run 235/40/18 square on my stock staggered M sport wheels for snows.

Which tire package did you get? If the all season then it will be a square set up

225/45/18
225/45/18

If the summer performance then staggered as above.

That is how our M-Sport came ... square all season.

No, it does not always. As said above our M-Sport with all seasons came with a square setup of 225/45/18. Summer performance will get you the staggered.

I suppose it is possible some are coming with all-season and stagger set up but that ain't what is sitting in my garage. YMMV.

I think you'll be disappointed...until time to replace the tires and you'll save a few $$$. Square set-up also allows for complete rotation which is better for extracting more even wear from the set of 4.
